Who we are

MarkIt Signs Ltd. ("MarkIt Signs", "we") is a sign company at 3 - 4260 5 Ave East, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan S6W 0A5. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through markitsigns.ca, including our quote, contact and proof-approval forms.

What we collect

  • Your name, business name, email address, phone number and city
  • Project details you give us (job type, sizes, deadlines, notes)
  • Files you upload, such as logos and photos
  • When you approve a proof online: the name you type, the time, your IP address, approximate location and device type. We keep this as a record of the approval.
  • Website usage data from Google Analytics (pages visited, approximate location, device type, how you found the site)

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your request, quote and complete your project, send proofs and invoices, and keep records of approvals and work done. We don't send marketing emails unless you've asked us to.

Services that handle your information

We don't sell or rent personal information. It passes through these services as part of running the website and the business:

  • Airtable — stores quote requests, job details, uploaded files and proof approvals in our job-tracking system.
  • FormSubmit and Formspree — deliver form submissions to our email inbox.
  • EmailJS — sends proof emails from our job system.
  • Cloudflare — hosts the website and processes requests to it.
  • Google Analytics — measures website traffic. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
  • Google Maps — the embedded map on some pages is served by Google.
  • Helcim — processes online invoice payments. We never see or store your card number.

Some of these services store data outside Canada, including in the United States.

Cookies

Google Analytics and the embedded Google map may set cookies. We don't use advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser and still use the site.

How long we keep it

We keep project information for as long as we need it to complete the work and for a reasonable time afterward for warranty, reorders and our business records. Ask us and we'll delete your information unless we're required to keep it.

Your rights

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw consent to be contacted. We respond within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page.
